MD MS Admission

MD MS Admission

MD MS Admission: After completing MBBS and getting a degree, a common cause of dilemma for medicos is what to do after MBBS. After MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), candidates look for all other options. The best courses after MBBS include specialisation in MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and other diploma programs. CareerMantra.Org brings this article for candidates after MBBS to get a clear idea.

But both can prescribe medicines, both can use instruments, but an MD doctor does more of the former and an MS doctor does less of the latter. In addition, some MD degrees enable even more specialisation, such as MD in Paediatrics, Psychiatry, OBG, and Internal Medicine. There are some super-speciality degrees after an MD that one can pursue after an MD degree.

For example, an MD in Internal Medicine can be followed by a DM in Rheumatology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, etc. The same is the case for an MS degree. A general surgeon can specialise in MCh in neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, etc.
