Engineering Entrance Exams 2026: Students seeking admission to engineering and technology
courses must pass an entrance exam. Various entrance exams are conducted by the
central government, state governments, and deemed universities. So, if you are
planning to pursue an engineering or technology course, you can now check the
upcoming engineering exams.
To be eligible for engineering entrance exams, students must have passed their 12th board exams with core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This is a challenging exam. After clearing the exam, students have to participate in the counselling and admission process. Following this, seat allocation takes place.

1. JEE Mains: JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains is one
of the toughest entrance exams, conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). It
is conducted in two sessions – Session 1 and Session 2. Session 1 is scheduled
to be held from January 21st to January 29th 2026. Session 2 is scheduled to be
conducted from April 2nd to April 9th 2026.
2. BITSAT: BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and
Science Admission Test) is conducted by BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan. It conducts an
entrance examination to take qualified students across its campuses – Pilani,
Goa, Hyderabad. The examination is conducted in two phases. The first phase
will be conducted from 15th April 2026 to 17th April 2026. The second phase
will be conducted from 24th May to 26th May 2026.
3. JEE Advanced: The JEE Advanced examination is conducted
by IIT, Roorkee. It’s a national-level exam and is conducted once a year. The
JEE Advanced exam will be conducted on 17th May 2026.
4. MHT CET: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test is
conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. It’s a state-level
exam. The exam session is conducted for two groups – PCB and PCM. Session 1 for
the PCM Group examination date is 11th April 2026 – 19th April 2026,
tentatively. Session 2 for the PCM Group examination date is 14th May 2026 –
17th May 2026, tentatively. Session 1 for PCB Group examination date is 21st
April 2026 – 26th April 2026, tentatively. Session 2 for PCB Group examination
date is 10th May 2026 – 11th May 2026, tentatively.
5. COMEDK UGET: This entrance examination is conducted by the
Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. The
examination date is 9th May 2026.
6. WBJEE: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a
State-level entrance Higher Secondary exam, conducted by the West Bengal Joint
Entrance Examinations Board. The examination date is April 2026.
7. VITEEE: Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore,
conducts VITEEE for admissions across campuses – Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and
Amravati. The examination date is April 28th to May 3rd 2026.
8. OJEE: Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts
OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations). This state-level entrance
examination will be held around May 2026.
9. SRMJEE: SRM University conducts SRMJEE. It is conducted
in three phases. Phase 1 will be conducted from April 23rd to April 28th 2026.
Phase 2 will be conducted from 10th June to 15th June 2026. Phase 3 will be
conducted on 4th July-5th July 2026.
10. KCET: Karnataka Common Engineering Test is conducted by
the Karnataka Examinations Authority. The examination date will be April 23-24,
2026.
11. Assam CEE: Assam
Combined Entrance Exam is conducted by Assam Science and Technology University.
The tentative date for the examination is April 2026.
12. GUJCET: The Gujarat Common Entrance Test is conducted
by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. The examination
date is 29th March 2026.
13. MET: Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by Manipal
Academy of Higher Education. Phase 1 will be conducted on April 13 to 14, 2026.
Phase 2 will be conducted on May 23 to 24, 2026.
14. SITEEE: SIT Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted by Symbiosis International Deemed University. It is conducted in 2 sessions. Session 1 will be conducted on May 2nd 2026, and Session 2 will be conducted on May 10th 2026.
