Bharti Airtel Foundation launches Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to Support Students in Technology

Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti
Enterprises, is launching a merit-cum-means based scholarship program aimed at
supporting students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue
technology-based UG engineering and integrated programs (up to five years) in
the top 50 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) (Engineering)
colleges, including IITs.
The scholarship will be awarded to students whose annual
family income does not exceed Rs 8.5 lakh.
'Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program' mainly focuses on female students. Starting at 250 students this year, the scholarship will be applicable to students eligible for admission in August 2024.
“As the program reaches its peak, the ambition is to increase the reach to 4,000 scholars with an outlay of ₹100+ crore per year,” an official statement said.
The scholarship, which is fully funded, aims to remove financial barriers that prevent deserving students, especially those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, from obtaining a quality education.
Bharti Airtel Scholarship Eligibility:
+ Confirmed admission or enrollment in the first year (academic year 2025-2026) of undergraduate/five-year integrated courses in the field of Electronics & Communications, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace and Emerging Technologies (AI, IoT, AR/VR, Machine Learning, Robotics) at one of the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering universities/institutions (based on the available 2024 list). + Must be a citizen and resident of India. + Parents/guardians should not have an annual income from all sources of more than Rs 8.5 lakh. + Preference will be given to girls, persons with disabilities, single/parentless, and transgender students. + Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarship/grant for similar purposes supported by Bharti Airtel Foundation. |

+ Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button to begin the application
process.
+ Fill in the required details in the online application form.
Upload the relevant documents, accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’, and click on
‘Preview’.
+ If all the details filled by the applicant
appear correct on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete
the application process.
