Private Law Colleges In India: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level
entrance exam organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities for
students seeking admission in Law programs. The CLAT Exam is primarily for
admission in the 25 NLUs and a few other participating institutions.
The CLAT 2026 was conducted on 7th December. The provisional
answer key will be officially released on 10th December; however, the result is
awaited in the fourth week of December 2025.
Apart from NLUs, there are a few other institutions and
private law colleges as well that accept the CLAT Scores for admission in UG (BA
LLB) and PG (LLM) Law academic courses.
There is only one NLU that doesn’t accept the CLAT scores – NLU Delhi. The NLU Delhi conducts its own entrance exam – AILET for Law courses. Here, take a look at the list of top private law colleges and universities, other than NLUs, that take students for Law UG and PG programs.
