Top fifty Engineering Colleges in India: The National Institutional Ranking Framework 2025 (NIRF
2025) ranking was announced by the Ministry of Education on September 4, 2025. This
list contained the latest ranking of the top fifty engineering colleges in India.
The NIRF 2025 ranking was announced based on several
criteria, including teaching, learning and resources, research and professional
practice, graduate outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and peer perception.
This year, once again, the top spot has been bagged by none
other than IIT Madras, followed by several IITs, NITs, and some of the top private
colleges and universities in India.
