IIT Madras MBA

MBA Programme Structure:

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at IIT Madras (Chennai) is a comprehensive two-year, full-time course consisting of seven quarters, designed to equip graduates with the skills necessary to become effective managers. Students receive a comprehensive educational experience that includes both management theory and practical application. The curriculum includes classroom instruction, case study discussions, practical management internships within the industry, and project assignments. The program is divided into seven quarters of coursework, with four quarters devoted to the first year and three quarters to the second year. It is designed to allow students to enter the industry on a par with their counterparts from other business schools. Each trimester typically of eight weeks duration.

In addition to the MBA programme, the department has research programs at the master's (MS) and doctoral (PhD) levels, an executive MBA program for middle and senior level executives. The department is also a partner in the Multi-Institutional Diploma Program for Visionary Leaders in Manufacturing (PGPEX – VLM) along with IIM Calcutta and IIT Kanpur.
