IIT Roorkee MBA

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee was established in 1847 and is the seventh IIT to be recognized as an Institute of National Importance. IIT Roorkee, located in Uttarakhand, is a public technical research university with NAAC affiliation and approval from AICTE and UGC.IIT Roorkee is the oldest technical institute in Asia which was granted university status in 1949.

IITR offers 14 undergraduate (UG), 24 postgraduate (PG), and various other PhD courses through its school and 23 departments in the fields of engineering, science, architecture, management, and social sciences.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at IIT Roorkee is an 8 term, 99 credit, residential program spread over two academic years. The course structure is designed to provide knowledge of core management concepts and techniques in the first year, which is then upgraded to advanced knowledge and practice skills in the areas of specialization chosen by the students in the final year.

Currently, the department offers dual specialization in any two of the following:

1) Finance

2) Marketing

3) Operations

4) Information Systems

5) Human Resource Management

MBA admission to IIT Roorkee is based on CAT score, followed by the performance of the candidates in the PI round. JEE Advanced-qualified IIT graduates who have secured a CGPA of 7 or above on a 10-point scale are not required to go through the initial shortlisting process. Instead, they are directly invited for the PI round.
